What does 1 Corinthians 11:5 Mean About a Woman’s Head Being Covered?

Vicki Goforth Parnell 11-22-23 @ 12:40 PM

5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

So many people today will not study this verse thoroughly or even study the whole content surrounding it in verses 1-16. Nor do they realize this appears to be actually referring to the men and women in a church setting…a service.

In addition, this verse is not only concerning women that prophesy, but all women WHO PRAY!

There’s more to this than the obvious assumption. 2 Timothy 2:15 says 'Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.’

I will not be voicing an opinion but simply laying out what I have found in my studies and ask you to take all these things to Jesus Christ in prayer.

Let’s begin at the beginning of 1 Corinthians 11 in Jesus Christ’s name. Verse 2 is where our lovely Jesus Christ first began showing me this understanding.

1 Corinthians 11:1-2.

1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

2 Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.

Definition of Ordinance: a piece of legislation enacted by a municipal authority; an authoritative order; a decree; a prescribed religious rite (rite means: a religious or other solemn ceremony or act: a body of customary observances characteristic of a Church or a part of it:)

Strong’s definition: G3862 =Greek word ‘paradosis’ which means: (concretely) a precept; specially, the Jewish traditionary law:—ordinance, tradition.

Paul in 1 Corinthians is addressing the Corinthian church and in chapter 11 among others in the Word of God appears to be talking about a church service, a gathering where the holy scriptures are shared and worship occurs in Jesus Christ’s name.

We see when he tells us to keep the ordinances he delivers to them…to us, the ordinances according to the Strong’s definition appears to mean a precept. An order but in the tradition of their day.

Now that this is understood Lord willing I will break down the verses for clarity and understanding in Jesus Christ’s name. Sweet Holy Spirit please teach us as John 14:26 says you will do.

Please remember as we start this that just as words today can mean different things in different circumstances, so does this occur in the translation of the Holy Bible and the Greek words themselves. To clarify I will be adding at times the Thayer’s Greek Lexicon information also, Lord willing. All this information can be found at the wwwblueletterbible.org site.

1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

The phrase ‘the head’ both times is the Greek word ‘kephalē’ Strong's number G2726 and means : literally or figuratively:—head. In this verse it means figuratively.

Thayer’s Greek Lexicon: of a husband in relation to his wife, 1 Corinthians 11:3; Ephesians 5:23; of Christ, the lord of the husband, 1 Corinthians 11:3 (cf. Buttmann, 124f (109)); of the church, Ephesians 4:15; Ephesians 5:23; Colossians 2:19

To understand the meaning of whether a woman should have her head covered or uncovered when she prays and speaks prophetically, I feel one must know what the key phrases mean in 1 Corinthians 11:4-6. The phrases ‘her head’ and the word ‘uncovered’ among others. The word head can be figurative or literal. Some teach that the phrase ‘her head’ refers only to the woman’s husband's authority over her. If she has a husband, then he is the head of his wife or her

authority. I agree. Because the man is the ordained head of his house and Jesus Christ is over the man and the church. (Ephesians 5:22-25)

But in this instance it appears in 1 Corinthians 11:4-6 this is not the English equivalent of the Greek word used here. I have found the Greek word for “head” is kephale and is the normal Greek word for the anatomical head that is supported by a person’s neck.

There are times in the Word of God the word kephale is used to refer to the chief or head cornerstone (Psalms 118:22, etc.) and a few times I have found so far that it refers to someone’s hair. (1 Corinthians 11:5; Matthew 10:30, etc.) Otherwise, the word is used 69 times to refer to the anatomical “head” or “heads” in the New Testament.(Matthew 5:36; 26:7; Act 18:18; Romans 12:20; 1 Corinthians 12:21; Revelation 1:14; 9:17, etc.) That is, “her head” does not refer to her husband but to her own physical head in 1 Corinthians 5-6). Paul is discussing a woman covering her physical head…. her hair.

1 Corinthians 11:4-6

4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.

5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

In verse 4 the Greek word head is the Greek word ‘kephalē’ also. It’s Strong's number G2726

Strong’s definition : literally or figuratively:—head.

In verse 5 in the Greek it’s the phrase ‘with [her] head and is the same Greek word ‘kephalē’ Strong's number G2726 and same usage as verse 4 which means : literally or figuratively:—head.

Thayer's Greek Lexicon: the head, both of men and often; and of animals in these verses: Matthew 5:36; Mark 6:24; Luke 7:38, 44 (Rec.),46; John 13:9; Acts 18:18; 1 Corinthians 11:4; Revelation 1:14; Revelation 4:4, and often; and of animals: Revelation 9:7, 17, 19, etc.;

In verse 5 the word dishonoureth is the Greek word ‘kataischynō ‘ G2617.

Strong’s definition: to shame down, i.e. disgrace or (by implication) put to the blush:—confound, dishonour, (be a-, make a-)shame(-d).

Thayer’s Greek Lexicon: to dishonor, disgrace: found in 1 Corinthians 11:5. The word uncovered is the Greek word akatakalyptos Strong’s number G177. Strong’s definition: uncovered-unveiled

Thayer’s Greek Lexicon: not covered, unveiled: 1 Corinthians 11:5; 13.

The phrase ‘she were shaven’ is the Greek word xyraō Strong’s number G3587 which is a derivative of the Greek word xylon (G3586)

Strong’s definition: (meaning a razor); to shave or "shear" the hair:—shave.

6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

The word shorn in verse 6 is the Greek word keirō and is Strong’s number G2751.

Strong’s definition: to shear:—shear(-er).

Thayer’s Greek Lexicon: absolutely, of shearing or cutting short the hair of the head, 1 Corinthians 11:6

One can see from 1 Corinthians 11:5 that Paul is concerned about women whose heads are bald or shaved since he says, “with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.” It is also important to notice that in verse 6 the Greek word that is translated as “cut off” is keirō which means “to shear or cut off.”

We also see in Acts 8:32 the Greek word keirō is used of a “shearer” of a lamb. A shearer completely removes all of the lamb’s “hair.” Also, in verse 6 the Greek word for ‘shaved’ is xyraō. The word is a derivative, meaning it comes from the word xylon which means a ‘razor.’ In ancient times a razor was used to trim beards. By comparing these 2 Greek words and their meanings keiro with xyrao we discover that Paul is referring to a woman’s hair that has been completely cut off, as one shears sheep or her hair that has been cut and shortened by a razor.

Now let’s jump down, Lord willing to 1 Corinthians 11: 15.

In 1 Corinthians 11:15, Paul says that a woman’s long hair is the covering that God has given her and should be worn long.

15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

The Greek word for glory is doxa Strong's number G1391.

Strong’s definition: glory (as very apparent), in a wide application (literal or figurative, objective or subjective):—dignity, glory(-ious), honour, praise, worship.

Thayer’s Greek Lexicon:to be a glory, ornament, to one, 1 Corinthians 11:15; In verse 15 the phrase ‘have long hair’ is the Greek word komaō. Strong’s definition: to wear tresses of hair:—have long hair. Thayer’s Greek Lexicon to let the hair grow, have long hair: 1 Corinthians 11:14

A woman’s long hair is her glory….her dignity…her honor. Therefore, Paul’s reference to uncovered women’s heads being a dishonor or a shame to them appears to refer to hair that is very short or bald. This is supported by the Greek word for ‘long hair’ in verse 15 which is komaō. This word refers to hair that is long and not cut short.

This would also mean that Paul is encouraging all the women to show submission by wearing their hair long, that her long hair is her covering. [verses 4, 5, 6] If the glory and honor is the woman’s hair and it’s called their covering, it appears the dishonorment, the shame and the uncovering of the woman’s hair mentioned in verse 5 is in the cutting of her long hair or shaving her head. This also appears to mean a woman should not have her hair cut short as men typically wear their hair. What the typical hair length was for a man in biblical days I do not know. That would be for another study Lord willing.

Paul’s discussion continues until verse 16 in 1 Corinthians chapter 11. In this last verse he makes an important statement that this is a universal and divine principle that all of the churches are to follow.

16 But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.

This means in my understanding, if anyone wants to be contentious (argumentative), they are arguing against this common practice among the churches. The fact that Paul is saying, “All of the other churches are following this custom or habit.”

Let me say this, I have been in mighty services of God when the Holy Spirit would be moving and a prophetic word would come forth from men and women alike because God has no respect of persons. (Romans 2:11) Not once did I witness a woman under the power of the Holy Spirit stop to cover her head before the holy word came forth and these words given under the power of the Holy Spirit that ‘did’ prove true at a later time.

At other times, in the church I grew up in, the women and men would gather at the altar and aid in praying for a lost soul to be saved and that person would accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior…with the women’s heads uncovered and without a veil. Not to mention praying for someone to be healed..and they were healed! So, you be the judge. We are to watch the fruit of each person’s life. (Matthew 7:16-23)

In the end we are all equal in our God’s eyes, but the male and female bodies have some differences in our creation because the woman was taken out of the man’s ribs. But when we are called to work for our lovely Jesus Christ….

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:28

Please pray about all this information and ask Jesus Christ to reveal his truth to you.

Thank you and God bless.

not forsaking.jpeg
Why Hebrews 10:25?

Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Why gather together? Why is it important besides the obvious reason of encouraging (Exhorting) one another? And as I pondered and prayed on this, many things came to me . But only one thing and one thing alone stands out predominantly and that is because it’s an opportunity to come into God’s holy presence together and worship and offer praise unto our King Jesus Christ, the Lord of All with other believers in Christ. But what does it mean to worship, to truly worship God? We are called to worship. We are created to worship God in the beauty of holiness.

Psalms 95:6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.” and

Psalms 29:2 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.

When we come into His presence we are supposed to leave the cares of our lives at the door of the building whether it be a church, an internet video screen or someone else’s or your home and come with open arms, open abandonment into God’s presence. He is a holy God. Just in all His ways and deserves all our praises.

John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

To worship in spirit means : To love Him with heart, soul, mind and strength (body). True worship must be ‘in spirit’ meaning one engages their whole heart….their whole being. Unless there’s a real passion for God and Jesus Christ, then there is no true worshiping in the spirit.

At the same time worship must be ‘in truth.’ That is meaning properly informed. Having a balance of knowledge of the word of God (John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. ) as well as a worshiper’s heart. This way by knowing His word you will be less likely to be deceived should the enemy try to come in…otherwise he will.

But we know the remedy for that too in Jesus Christ’s name. It’s found in James 4:7, Luke 10:19; Isaiah 54:17; Proverbs 26:2 & Matthew 18:18.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

Proverbs 26:2 As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.

Matthew 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

But we are also instructed to worship or to sacrifice unto Him in our bodies also.

Romans 12:1-2

1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

When you come into your Heavenly Father’s presence and you worship Him in unconditional surrender or even as some say reckless abandonment then you are empowering Him full access into your life to be able to work the impossible in all your present and future situations. Even taking the things from the past working all things for our good for those who love him. (Romans 8:28) But what is the difference between praising our God and worshiping Him? I found an article written by ‘Got Questions Ministries’ who gives an earnest explanation of both: Praise is the joyful recounting of all God has done for us. It is closely intertwined with thanksgiving as we offer back to God appreciation for His mighty works on our behalf. We are commanded to give Praise unto our God!

Romans 15:11 And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.

Worship however, comes from a different place within our spirits. Worship should be reserved for God alone (Luke 4:8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.). Worship is the art of losing self in the adoration of another. Praise can be a part of worship, but worship goes beyond praise. Praise is easy; worship is not. Worship gets to the heart of who we are. To truly worship God, we must let go of our self-worship. We must be willing to humble ourselves before God, surrender every part of our lives to His control, and adore Him for who He is, not just what He has done. Worship is a lifestyle, not just an occasional activity. Jesus said the Father is seeking those who will worship Him "in spirit and in truth" (John 4:23 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.).

In the Word of God praise is usually presented as boisterous, joyful, and uninhibited. God invites praise of all kinds from His creation. Jesus said that if people don't praise God even the "stones will cry out" (Luke 19:40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.). When the Bible mentions worship, however, the tone changes. We read verses like:

Psalms 96:9 O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.

Psalms 95:6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.

Often, worship is coupled with the act of bowing or kneeling, which shows humility and contrition.

Examples such as:

2 Chronicles 29:28 And all the congregation worshiped, and the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded: and all this continued until the burnt offering was finished.;

Hebrews 11:21 By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshiped, leaning upon the top of his staff.;

Revelation 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

It is through true worship that we invite the Holy Spirit to speak to us, convict us, and comfort us. Through worship we realign our priorities with God's and acknowledge Him once more as the rightful Lord of our lives. We submit from our hearts and not vain fickle lips our thankfulness to our God and Jesus Christ our Savior who died for us. God intended Man to worship and serve Him in the days of the Holy Bible and even unto this current time we live in. We are called to worship him. He has not changed nor will he ever.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.

Malachi 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. \

Isaiah 43:7 Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

Isaiah 43:12 This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.

When we come together in unity, worshiping our God, hearing his word teached and/or preached we can grow strength from one another. Our testimonies can inspire and encourage one another. Remember the Word of God says,“they are made overcomers by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony.” (Revelation 12:11) But please make sure you are only going where the Holy Spirit leads you and if he’s leading and not you, then it will be a meeting whether in a church, internet meeting or other buildings where the full gospel of Jesus Christ is believed and shared and not just pieces of it that are picked and chosen to believe in. It’s time for the true believers of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to arise from their slumber! Rub the sleep from your eyes and shake the dust off your clothes. It’s time to start coming before our God in Jesus Christ’s name in humble worship and praise. It’s time for us to leave all our ‘junk’ and all our ‘stuff’ at the feet of Jesus Christ and pick up our garments of praise and no longer offer unto Him a half hearted, lukewarm praise. It’s time to worship in spirit and in truth, wholeheartedly no matter where you are…alone or with others.

He is a just God. A kind God who is full of love, mercy and compassion and He is long suffering unto man. But He will not always be long suffering for one day we will stand before Him as our Righteous Judge. Then it will be too late to offer our praise and worship unto Him. So let’s let the cares of our lives and the tiredness of our bodies go and come together in mind and/or in our bodies and worship together in love and unity. Let us become the church that Jesus Christ has called us to be. That city on the hill, that beacon of hope for all to see. (Matthew 5:14)

Are God & Jesus Christ Really One and How Does His Blood Have Power to Save?
Vicki Goforth Parnell 5-11-25

We are learning how the enemy operates and their devices mainly for the purpose of, "these things can't harm us." This is why we can stand upon Isaiah 54:17 which says, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.” All that we've uncovered, encountered and still to come is to let us know, "this can't touch us, that is powerless, this thing, that curse, that attack," cannot penetrate the Blood of Jesus Christ. Which is now the children of God's hedge of protection as is found in Job 1:9-10.

Job 1:9-10

9 Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?

10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

Isaiah 5:5 And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; and break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down:

The Blood of Jesus Christ marks us, cleanses us and seals us. He washes us clean. When we accept Jesus Christ into our hearts our garments become pristine clean with His righteousness and holiness. Jesus Christ has provided us a clean robe of righteousness that can be kept clean by a continual washing in his blood. His blood of repentance applied when we ask for forgiveness of our sin.

Cleanses verse:

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Marked verse:

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

His holiness and righteousness given verses:

Leviticus 19:2 Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the Lord your God am holy.

Isaiah 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

Clean ourselves up verses:

2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

Ephesians 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

Sealed by Salvation/Blood/Holy Spirit once we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord verses: John 6:27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

As in everyday life, sometimes our clothes, our garments get dirty. Some deliberately while some is accidental. For example, going outside and jumping in a mud puddle will cause dirty water to splatter and most likely you will have spots of muddy, dirty water on your clothes. On the other side of this you can be accidentally spotted meaning it wasn't your intention to get dirty. You can be walking outside and a car drives by and instead of playing in the mud puddle by choice you get splattered by it covering you in its filth. The same is with sin. Then you have a dirty garment covered with stains.

Proverbs 24:16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Only the Blood of Jesus Christ can take the stains of sin out of our lives. This is why we are called to repent even after we've accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. This is why the Word says in Isaiah 1:16 "Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes; cease to do evil.” The cleaning process is repenting of your sin. His Blood can wash the garments of our souls clean for the first time or once again. The continual washing away of our sins is needed because of the sin-filled world we live in and the interactions we have directly, or indirectly with other people, other inhabitants in our world in addition to our warfare against the kingdom of darkness. Once clean by His blood then we need to maintain the cleanliness of our garment by doing all the Word of God tells us to do in obedience and love to Him. When you have a garment with a stain that did not come out then you know the person's repentance was not genuine. Otherwise the Blood of Jesus Christ would have cleaned and removed it because it washes all sin away for those who ask for true forgiveness of their sins.

Ephesians 1:6-7

6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

1 John 2:2

2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

If there is found to be a permanent stain on a once cleaned pure garment cleansed by Jesus Christ’s Blood then this is one that He has marked as a reprobate or one that has blasphemed the Holy Spirit. These are those due to their continual rejection of the sweet Holy Spirit's call to repent through His convicting power that are given permanently over to Satan and Lucifer. Meaning they have rejected both the sweet Holy Spirit's call to repent and Jesus Christ truly as the Lord. Without the Blood of Jesus Christ washing someone clean then there's no cleansing away the spots of sin on one’s garments before Salvation's gift is received or after. Repentance is needed to maintain the cleanliness of our garments. Along with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and obedience to His Holy Word.

How do we remain clean in Jesus Christ? Through repentance. When we repent then there's nothing between us and our Lord Jesus Christ. There are no hindrances, our hearing is clear, the sweet Holy Spirit's voice is clear so His directions are easier to follow. Our hunger for the Word of God increases as well as our desire to spend time with Him. Everyday living can sometimes cause us to inadvertently get a spot of stain upon our clean garments. This can come about by a heated argument with angry words when spoken we’ve not repented of. It can be by wrongful actions or reactions, even vain thoughts not taken captive and under control in Jesus Christ’s Name that leads into sinful thinking. There’s power in Jesus Christ’s Name and Blood to overcome all things in life.

1 Corinthians 10:3-5

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

1 John 5:4-5

4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Sometimes we don't recognize we have sinned and spotted our garments until Sweet Holy Ghost Spirit starts convicting us of these sins. When you have a garment that gets a stain on it the

sooner you wash it the easier it comes out. Otherwise if you leave it unwashed or untreated with stain remover that stain sets into the fabric and becomes more stubborn and difficult to get out, to wash out. The same is with sin. If you don't deal with sin's removal in your life and repent when you're convicted by the sweet Holy Spirit it becomes harder for you to let go of it and allow it to be removed. Meaning like a stubborn stain in a garment that sin will set in deeper in that spot of your life by your refusal to acknowledge and/or deal with that sin in your life. What I mean by harder to remove is for that person and not the power of Jesus Christ’s Blood to remove it. Some people have grown comfortable in their sins even liking the feel of them. For example this is you have a favorite comfortable shirt. You don't care how many spots or blemishes it has on it. You like it and refuse to get rid of it even to take it off for washing. Such is a way of sinning when you refuse to let it go. You refuse to give it to Jesus Christ and let Him wash it clean for you. If you allow Him to wash you clean you will find His garment He gives you free from sin is clean, spotless, lightweight, and when you become accustomed to the cleanliness of it you will find you had wished you had allowed Him to wash it, wash you clean sooner.

John 16:8-9

8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;

2 Corinthians 7:9-10

9 Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. 10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

Jesus Christ, His Name, His Blood does all this but you have to want to be clean. You have to be the one to make the choice to accept Jesus Christ into your heart so you can be washed clean from your sins. The only thing in existence that will ever have the power to do so is His Blood. This is because He is God's Son. He is God inside a fleshly body of man. So His blood, the Blood of God could be shed for His creation of man. He had to take on the form of a fleshly man because He is a Spirit. In a body made of flesh it was now possible for His Blood to be spilled and given for man's sins. Because Jesus Christ became flesh and was born of woman, he was both human, and God, the Son. That is why Jesus Christ referred to Father God as My God as well as My Father and didn’t equate Himself equal to God while on earth in the fleshy body in which His full glory hadn’t been restored yet. Yet at other times He referenced Himself as God which was referring to His person which was the Word placed into the flesh, His Spirit being and not the body of flesh.

God is a Spirit verses:

John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth

Jesus Christ is God verses:

John 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Hebrews 1:8-9

8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?

1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Note: Jesus Christ calls Himself the Almighty, a name given to Father God in the Old Testament 48 times and in the New Testament 8 times.

God took His own words and fashioned them into a fleshly body. He created Himself a Son that was fully Himself yet separate.

John 1:1-2; 14

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God.

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

When we speak words that leave our mouth they're still part of us. We spoke them. They belong to us even though they have left our physical presence. So it is with Jesus Christ begotten by Father God when He created His words to form His Son that could die for our world. Jesus Christ is God. He is His words. He is a part of Him. They are of One Being. One Spirit. Yet divided to serve a purpose. And that purpose is redemption of the human race mankind. So Jesus Christ is a literal part of Father God the Creator of All who when He speaks things are created out of nothing. Out of His words.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.

When I speak or when I make an action they belong to me. They are part of me although when my words are spoken or my actions are done they're no longer physically attached to me but they're still mine. Even if I tried to lie and say they weren't mine they are still a literal part of existence belonging to me. And since this connection is invisible to the naked eye it's spiritual. I'm still spiritually connected to all I say and do. Like some type of a spiritual signature. This is

how a record is kept of all we say and do besides a recorder in our minds. This way this record of all we do while living here on Earth gives judgment against us good or bad on Judgment Day.

Revelation 20:11-15

11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Ecclesiastes 11:9 Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.

1 Peter 4:5-6

5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. 6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

It's by this spiritual connection to all we say and do, or spiritual signature Jesus Christ Blood is able to wash all our sins clean that are connected to us and not those of the whole world of those who have not repented and haven't accepted Him as their Lord and Savior. This is also how it is possible for there are spiritual signature marking and identifying our every deed, word and action that all records of past sins can be removed and marked out of existence and our names then written in the Lamb's Book of Life when we accept Jesus Christ into our hearts.

So Jesus Christ is God, His words, His voice made into flesh. When created as a man God also created Jesus Christ with a physical voice of His own so when it comes time for Jesus Christ to return judgment back to Father God He still has a voice to speak on His own. This is why also

Jesus Christ while on the earth could do nothing but Father God's will. Because He was the created words of God Himself. By being God He was able to endure what no other created man could do. Become the Savior of our world. This is and was impossible for any other to do. This is how it's possible for Jesus Christ to be God in the flesh. This is how they are: The same Spirit being yet also different because God created the body for His words to reside in. This is how it's possible for the words of John 10:30 to be fully true which say, I and My Father are One.

Those who would want to argue that your words are no longer a part of you I refer you to our court system here on earth. Which is far less righteous than Father God's Court in heaven. You can be convicted for your actions and words spoken. If you kill people you can be convicted for those actions. These actions still belong to you. You're still connected to them. They are part of you even though they're separate from you now. Or if you threaten to kill someone or burn their homes down. You can end up in jail or sent to a mental institute because your words are still part of you, of who you are here on Earth. Showing how our actions, our deeds and our words are all still a part of us, we're still spiritually connected. We are one in the same yet separate from our

physical being of our actions, deeds and words that are spoken. Just like Father God and Jesus Christ are the same. They are God yet they are separate.

If Jesus Christ isn’t God then He really, really, really sounds like Him. Here’s the thing that really sealed it for me: God declares Jesus Christ is God in the written Word. I’ve already mentioned Hebrews 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. But there’s more. God bestows upon the Messiah the Name of Jesus who is Jesus Christ which is above every Name.

Philippians 2:9-11

9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Does that mean that Jesus Christ’s Name is above God's special holy Name, YHVH? Yes, since Jesus is the "Name which is above every name"!

Unless God is committing idolatry and exalting His creation above Himself then Jesus Christ must be God (not His body but His person). It is not idolatry if God gives to Himself the Name which is above every Name. It is entirely fitting and appropriate!

In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. (John 1:1–2) And the Word became flesh [i.e. the body of Jesus] , and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the holy begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)

Holiness & Bitterness
Vicki Goforth Parnell
6-24-25

Hebrews 12:13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.

In this verse we are being instructed by Paul for the believers of Jesus Christ to walk holy. To choose our steps in Him. Proverbs 4:26 echoes the same instructions.

Proverbs 4:26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.

We need to hold fast to our instructions found in the Word of God and choose to walk in the Holy ways of our God. Because our lives should be an example for others to see, to encourage, and inspire others to walk closer to Him. This is not because we ourselves are great, but the God inside of us is greater and makes all things possible through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:13) The lame that Hebrews 12:23 is speaking about is referring to those that are wounded and hurt. Those that are weak in their faith. Those who are struggling in their walk with our Lord Jesus Christ. If we don't walk a holy and consecrated life meaning set apart in Jesus Christ and one that is lame (wounded, weak in faith & such like) is watching, you can very well be the turning point in their lives that causes them to stumble and fall.

Our life should be an example to those wounded and hurt that lead them to healing through Jesus Christ who is the healer of all wounds, all hurts and such like we face in this life. We should always ask God to instruct our footsteps and all that we do.

Proverbs 3: 5-6

5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Holiness: living in moral purity and integrity in the ways of Father God out of love for him. Setting yourself apart. Being unspotted by the world and separate from sin. A consecrated life dedicated to God.

Holiness should be a priority in our lives. One such example of us being instructed in ways of Holiness is found in Ephesians 4:21-27.

21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

27 Neither give place to the devil.

Hebrews 12:15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

What is a root of bitterness? What is bitterness?

Bitterness: a destructive spiritual state caused by unresolved anger, resentment, or perceived even imagined hurts and injustices. It can be caused from disappointments, envy, jealousy and such like. If left unchecked it can grow into a root of bitterness which is poison to the heart of the person causing hatred, malice, and spiritual even physical murder for them and to others they feel are involved. It can kill relationships of all types: families, friends, coworkers, and such like. It defiles that person polluting their spirit because bitterness is sin. Its root cause is unforgiveness. We are told to put away all bitterness Ephesians 4:31-32

Ephesians 3:31-32

31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice

32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Colossians 3:8 reflects this when we're instructed to put away all anger, malice and wrath. All by products of bitterness.

Colossians 3:8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

If bitterness is left unchecked, if not repented of it can spread like an ivy vine whose roots are strong and can have shoots of growth growing and coming up all over a person's yard. Bitterness not only causes defilement in that person but it affects others. This is what Hebrews 12:15 was referring to when it said at the latter part of the verse, “... springing up (growing from the root and spreading its poison) it troubles you (causes sin, defilement, or pollution in your holiness before God) and thereby many be defiled.”

Bitterness, resentment, anger, and envy are many of the reasons there are so many church hurts in church splits. Also for other types of relationships. But the offensive hurt many times is in the person's mind. It can be a thought, a whisper, and action the enemy has planted inside your mind and because the person didn't seek Jesus Christ or Father God for His truth in the matter and also didn't choose to forgive the offense where the real or not bitterness begins to grow. But it can also be a real hurt that was unintentional or intentional.

Deuteronomy 29:18 Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the Lord our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;

Take notice in this first part it’s talking about a root that bears gall and wormwood. Wormwood in the Bible is a symbol of bitterness, calamity and judgment often associated with the consequences of disobedience and sin. So again we see how that bitterness can spread among many per the Word of God.

Here is what a few of the outward symptoms of bitterness can be: envy, anger, resentment, desire for revenge, a hardened attitude, stubbornness, unwilling to change even when there's a need to do so, unforgiveness, rage, hypercritical, critical or judgmental spirit, criticism and such like. Bitterness affects both the heart and mind. This is where the root's poison spreads and continues to grow. It alienates us from our God putting a distance between us and Him. Bitterness is sin and we need to ask forgiveness for the sin. It is rooted in the spirit of unforgiveness. We are instructed to forgive others so we can be forgiven by our Heavenly Father.

Matthew 6:14 -15

14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Forgiveness is a choice. A decision that each of us chooses to make or not to make. We are called forgive one another in the Word of God.

Colossians 3:13-14

13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

We are told to be angry and to not sin. To not let the sun go down upon our wrath. Ephesians 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

This is because if we've opened the door to sin, we need to repent so that the enemy does not get a foothold in our lives. Also it's during the night the most witchcraft demonic attacks are assigned and sent out. If you have unrepented sin in your life that is an open door for them to create havoc for you and all that pertains to you.

The roots of our lives as children of the Most High God who've been bought and paid for through Jesus Christ's Blood are not supposed to grow poisonous roots of bitterness and sin. We are instructed to grow our roots in Christ.

Colossians 2:6-7

6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:

7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

What is a type of soil that allows bitterness to grow in us even if it's an imagined hurt? A heart that harbors hostility and does not deal with the hurt. Usually it is an older hurt someone has tried to bury but still it grows faster and can only be removed by God's grace through forgiveness and true repentance of heart. All healing, spiritual & physical comes through our lovely Jesus Christ.

The root of bitterness is rooted deep like a tree or plant, even the ivy vine mentioned prior whose roots are planted. Therefore they are hidden and camouflage to the naked eye. This is the same for the root of bitterness at first in a person's life but it will eventually become evident as it begins affecting that person's life as well as others, including their environment they live in.

Not often when you find someone who will admit they're a bitter person. They will disguise or deny it. A bitter person is hypersensitive, ungrateful, and sincere, holds grudges, has mood swings and such like. All through manipulation of their heart, mind and life from the kingdom of darkness access to it because you chose not to forgive. This is an agreement, an access door to your life.

Bitterness not only affects you spiritually but emotionally and physically. This is because it's sin and it's poisonous. Unforgiveness allows the devil access into your mind, body, your whole being. Your relationship with Jesus Christ will suffer because sin separates from a holy God who has called us to be holy.

Isaiah 59:2 but your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you that He will not hear you.

A few examples how bitterness is kept alive.

Proverbs 17:9 He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends.

1. Replaying over in our minds the other person’s offense over and over again. This is perhaps the most common feeder of bitterness and unforgiveness. Every time we replay someone’s sin in our minds, we water the seed of bitterness in our hearts…and it grows. This is contrary to the Word of God which tells us to forgive but also to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ it casting it down.

2 Corinthians 4:4-5

4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

5 Casting down vain imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

We know by these verses that repeating an offense in our mind and not casting it down is disobedience to the Word of God. So in addition of now dealing with the disobedience of not forgiving we're in disobedience for not taking control and authority over the situation that we have through Jesus Christ and the power of His Name.

2. When you keep a hurt or an offense constantly fresh in your mind, if you get into an argument with that person or any type of discussion then you will throw this back at them. What's being done in this situation whether it's intentionally or unintentionally done is making sure that the person who hurt you does not forget what they've done to you. Even if they've asked for forgiveness. This is not always the case in situations where a person is not aware of any offense or supposed offense that they've done to someone.

3. When you allow bitterness to take root in oftentimes you will find yourself repeating the hurt or offense to someone else instead of taking it to the Lord Jesus Christ. You can find yourself repeating the same thing that was done to you to someone else. Also this can be a repeating of the offense by words to other people. The Word of God calls this gossip. One thing to notice about gossip is that it harms four different parties:

It harms the speaker of the gossip.

Proverbs 25:9–10

9 Debate thy cause with thy neighbour himself; and discover not a secret to another: 10 Lest he that heareth it put thee to shame, and thine infamy turn not away.

Proverbs 26:10 The great God that formed all things both rewardeth the fool, and rewardeth transgressors.

It harms the subject of the gossip

Proverbs 26:20 Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth.

It harms the listener of the gossip

Proverbs 22:24–25

24 Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go: 25 Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul.

Proverbs 26:22 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.

It grieves the Holy Spirit

Ephesians 4:29–31

29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

30 And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

Isaiah 63:10 But they rebelled, and vexed his Holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.

Every time we repeat a matter in one of these three ways, we feed bitterness in our hearts. When these thoughts come to our mind we should cast them down in the Name of Jesus Christ, binding them, canceling the assignments of the enemy. Also binding the demons, throwing them into the

abyss/pit in Jesus Christ Name. Then we need to think on other things such as the promises of God for us or what is lovely, pure, true and such like. If we think and rest in these promises, our hearts will become fertile ground for the Holy Spirit to work. Remember: bitterness is not something you have or don’t have; it’s something you cultivate. It is a choice to keep growing it or to pull it up and cast it away. The same is true for forgiveness.

Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Jesus Christ is coming back for a pure and spotted holy bride. That means one free from sin. It's time to ask Sweet Holy Spirit to search deep into our hearts and reveal to us anything we need to repent of and to ask forgiveness in Jesus Christ's Name. The only way to remove bitterness in your life is running into the arms of Jesus Christ and again asking Him to forgive and cleanse you. Then when He does, let it go and don’t pick it up again, so forgiveness and healing can be yours.

Examples of bitterness in the Word of God:

Cain and Abel: Genesis 4:2-9

Cain becomes consumed by bitterness for his brother Abel and God when his offering is rejected by god. He feels unjustly treated and slaves his brother. We can understand this through reading the Scripture

Esau and Jacob: Genesis 25:29 - 34; 27:33-36; 41-46

Esau's bitterness toward his brother Jacob because he had lost his birthright blessing even though he sold it for a bowl of lentils. He threatens to kill Jacob but doesn't appear to feel remorse or that he is wrong because he sheds tears over the loss of his blessing from his father.

Paul and Simon the sorcerer: Acts 8:1-25

Paul rebukes Simon the sorcerer when he attempts to buy the power of the Holy Ghost spirit out of envy. Paul uses a phrase in the gall of bitterness, intending it to make Simon aware of the depth of evilness, depravity and ungodliness he was acting in. And calling him to repent. Again we see here envy is a fruit of bitterness.

Salt Covenant Warfare & Prayers

Vicki Goforth Parnell 1-24-26

There is no retaliation, or evil actions and returns from the kingdom of darkness in all Father God’s knowledge and existence for this Salt Covenant Warfare & Prayers information that I am sharing. I bind the kingdom of darkness and all forms of attacks from occurring in Jesus Christ’s Name.

Covenant of Salt Verses:

2 Chronicles 13:5 Ought ye not to know that the Lord God of Israel gave the kingdom over Israel to David for ever, even to him and to his sons by a covenant of salt?

Leviticus 2:13 And every oblation of thy meat offering shalt thou season with salt; neither shalt thou suffer the salt of the covenant of thy God to be lacking from thy meat offering: with all thine offerings thou shalt offer salt.

Numbers 18:19 All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer unto the Lord, have I given thee, and thy sons and thy daughters with thee, by a statute for ever: it is a covenant of salt for ever before the Lord unto thee and to thy seed with thee.

What is a Covenant of Salt?

The meaning of a salt covenant is an agreement that is meant to endure regardless of the circumstances. It was an ancient symbol of unbreakable friendships and alliances that were to be preserved. In ancient times, salt wasn't just used for food. It was used to seal covenants. A covenant made with salt was a binding agreement, symbolizing something pure, enduring, and unbreakable.

Salt, in the Near East, was an expensive commodity that was considered indestructible in fire. Under ancient Israel's sacrificial system, it was a critical element in offerings made to the Lord. Its inclusion was mandatory for all offerings (Leviticus 2:13, Ezekiel 43:24), and without a doubt symbolizing the eternal and indestructible covenant God made with His people.

This mineral also impedes the action of yeast (leaven) on food. In the Word of God, leaven many times symbolizes sin and a rebellious attitude, as well as the ability to negatively influence others (1 Corinthians 5:7; Galatians 5:9). The inclusion of the mineral, therefore, can represent the preservation and maintenance of purity and holiness in a world that can cause corruption through sin.

Salt was a symbol to all that what was committed, could not be corrupted. In spiritual language, salt represented that which could not be defiled. When two parties would share salt during a covenant meal, it meant that betrayal would be met with judgment. That's why in divine agreements, salt was not optional. It was necessary. This is why God required salt in every offering brought to Him. It was more than flavor. It was spiritual integrity. It was a declaration that the one offering was in alignment with divine purity and would not mix holy things with the profane.

Salt separated. Salt preserved. Salt sanctified. Salt also speaks of preservation. Naturally, salt keeps things from decaying. Before refrigeration, salt was the primary tool to keep meat from spoiling.

In the spirit realm, this is what salt symbolizes in your life. When you live in alignment with God's order, when you walk in righteousness, your life becomes like salt, preserving what the enemy tries to destroy. The devil may try to attack your mind with fear, anxiety, or lust, but when you are aligned with Father God through Jesus Christ you are in a spiritual sense salted in the spirit, and in Jesus Christ’s Name the enemy’s attacks will fail.

You become preserved by the presence of God and the Blood of Jesus Christ that has redeemed you. You have the mind of Christ and have power over the enemy. You are sealed in this holy covenant. The salt represents the cleanliness and holiness found in your spirit that keeps you from rotting in bitterness, depression, or spiritual apathy. It keeps your discernment alive. That's why demons hate it. Salt is a symbol of separation. It draws a clear line between what is holy and what is defiled. In spiritual warfare, that line matters because witches and demonic spirits are looking for access points. They are looking for any way to gain an agreement, covenant, an access point in any area of the true believer’s life.

This is not superstition. This is warfare by wisdom. Get ready in the power of Jesus Christ to proceed as He leads. Salt is not just a seasoning. It is a spiritual symbol loaded with divine mystery and kingdom power. For too long, the people of God have underestimated what heaven has placed in their hands. Just like anointing oil represents the sweet Holy Ghost Spirit also called the Anointing in 1 John 2:27.

Salt may be natural in form, but it is deeply prophetic in meaning. When you understand the true spiritual significance of salt, you begin to see that what looks like a grain in the natural world is actually a symbol of holiness, covenant, and consecration in the spirit realm. And when used with faith, revelation, and obedience, salt becomes a prophetic weapon that breaks curses, repels evil, and restores divine alignment, because when applying or utilizing salt in a salt covenant you are reminding Father God of your covenant with Him and your promise to uphold your part of it with His help through Jesus Christ. When you are in a covenant with the God of all Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ the Word of God shows us Their faithfulness in upholding it.

Salt in Spiritual Warfare

Salt is one of the most underestimated weapons in spiritual warfare. It looks common, but in the kingdom, salt is a consecrated authority. It's not just mineral, it's a prophetic element. It represents purity, covenant, and preservation. Three things the demonic realm despises. While people in darkness chant spells, sacrifice animals, and place curses, many of the children of God are rising out of their slumber and beginning to fight in the spiritual battle before us. We do not belong to this world but to the Kingdom of God through His Son;s sacrifice and shed Blood. When a child of God rises up and operates under the direction of heaven, even the most common things become powerful. He takes the foolish things of the world to confound the wise it says in 1 Corinthians 1:27.

It’s not that salt itself holds any type of supernatural or spiritual power, it’s just that sometimes in spiritual warfare, you need a tangible point of contact to activate your faith and stand unwavering against the enemy’s assaults. Salt can be used as such a point of contact when praying, just like anointing oil is done at times also. When you hold salt in your hand while praying declarations or spiritual warfare verses, you are physically engaging with the spiritual truth. You are activating your faith with the Holy Word of God, but holding the physical salt as a point of contact that we as humans need sometimes. When the reality of what we are fighting at times gets blurred by attacks of doubt, unbelief, deception and other such trickery by the enemy hands, God will and can use something as simple as salt or anointing oil to activate our faith in His Power and Jesus Christ’s Name so we can be victorious. This is part of the power found in our Covenant with Father God.

Here are examples of prayers of decrees prayed when using salt in a Covenant with Father God and Jesus Christ.

*** Note: Please remember to repent, break any agreements and such like with the kingdom of darkness and pray against the enemy from retaliating before entering into any type of spiritual warfare in Jesus Christ's Name.

Job 22:28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

Remember, you are not praying to the salt. You are using the salt to remind Heaven and earth and to declare to hell that you are in a covenant. You are walking in purity. You are marked. The power is not in the salt. The power is in the Covenant, the agreement between Father God, Jesus Christ, you, your faith, your obedience, and the power found only in Jesus Christ and His Name.

Stand in your authority and decree out loud in Jesus Christ’s Name over your home:

I sanctify this threshold in the name of Jesus Christ. You can sprinkle small amounts of salt as the Holy Ghost Spirit leads in Jesus Christ’s Name. Every spirit of witchcraft, every curse, every unclean entity assigned to enter this home, I block you. You are forbidden to enter. This place is covered by the Blood of Jesus Christ and preserved and purified by a salt covenant with Heaven.

This house belongs to the Kingdom of God. Only the King of glory and what is holy may cross this line. (Psalms 24:7-10)

While holding the salt, speak these kinds of declarations.

Father, as this salt is pure, let my spirit be purified.

As this salt preserves in the natural, let your covenant preserve my household.

Let every word spoken against me, every monitoring eye, every satanic utterance be reversed and fall to the ground.

I stand under divine order in the authority of Jesus Christ.

I stand in alignment. No witchcraft shall prosper in my life.

No spirit shall manipulate me.

I sleep under divine protection.

The fire of God surrounds my mind and the angels of the Most High stand at my bedpost.
I cleanse this room from every curse, every spell, every whisper of darkness.

No demon shall dwell here.

No portal shall remain open.

Let fire and salt purify this environment.

Let holiness return.

Another example of praying and sprinkling salt in a salt covenant with Father God through Jesus Christ:

Lightly sprinkle a fine line of salt around the four corners of your bed. You don't pour mounds, just a symbolic perimeter. As you do, walk around it and declare:

This bed is holy ground.

I draw a line in the spirit.

No dream attack shall enter here.

No night demon, no incubus, no astral projection shall cross this line.

Let the fire of God encamp around this circle.

Let angels stand guard at each corner.

I sleep under the wings of the Most High. I decree and pray all this in Jesus Christ’s mighty Name. (Luke 10:19)

If you have children, do the same around their beds.

Speak life over them.

Cancel any generational curses that try to visit them in the night.

Declare that their rest will be sweet, guarded, and filled with revelation, not torment.

Walk your property and speak with authority that only comes through Jesus Christ. You’re not the tail, but the head. Declare over your home, your children, your threshold all that you possess these prayers and decrees. Use that salt not because you're desperate, but because you're informed. Speak the word not because you fear demons, but because you've been commissioned to establish light. You are of the Kingdom of darkness, not the dark kingdom of lucifer’s.

Lay hands on your walls.

Circle your bed.

Stand at your gate.

Declare out loud, "This ground is holy.

This house belongs to the Lord.

Every unclean spirit must go.

Every curse is broken.

Every monitoring spirit is blinded.

Every altar is silenced.

The blood of Jesus Christ speaks louder.

When you combine obedience, prayer, and kingdom insight, salt becomes a weapon hell cannot resist. When you engage in spiritual warfare with wisdom and divine strategy, you must also learn how to discern the results. Warfare is not just about fighting. It's about detecting shifts, interpreting signs, and recognizing when the enemy has been defeated. Just as a general watches the battlefield to know when the enemy line has broken, you too must develop discernment through the Holy Ghost Spirit and even physical discernment to know when your prayers and acts of faith like using salt, (That’s what it is, an act, a step of faith on our part.) have broken the curse, cleared the atmosphere, and turned the spiritual tide in your favor. Many people engage in warfare but lack the discernment to recognize victory. Again all we do is in the power of Jesus Christ’s name.

Precision, strategy, authority. Salt is not magic. It's a prophetic reminder. When you use it by faith and revelation, you're not performing a ritual. You're partnering with heaven's order.

Salt in the hands of a true child of God is now more than seasoning. It's more than mineral. It's a weapon, a boundary, a declaration of purity and preservation. A declaration of faith. A boundary you can see with your physical eyes but with all of Heaven backing it up when your life is pleasing and in accordance with the Word of God. For the child of God, the salt reminds you, I am a covenant child of the King." Don't ever treat what God has made sacred as common again. Even in the old covenant, God said, "Let your offerings be seasoned with salt." Why? Because salt reminded them that what was offered to God must be pure, preserved, and separate from defilement. That same principle stands now. The salt you use in this warfare is not random.

It's a prophetic act that says, "My home, my space, my sleep, my gates are sanctified." You're not waiting for a miracle. You're walking in divine knowledge and authority. And I say to you boldly from this day forward, let  the enemy, let their witchcraft fear you and the God inside you Jesus Christ that has already defeated the whole kingdom of darkness. (Colossians 2:15) Let demons, nephilim, fallen angels, astral jumpers and travelers and such like know your address is off limits. Let familiar spirits retreat the moment you step into a room. You are not passive. You are not weak. You are not forgotten. You are backed by holy angels. You ar eBlood bought & Redeemed by the King of kings Jesus Christ. You are sealed by a holy covenant with the God of Heaven. You call Him Father and God. You are walking in strategic knowledge given to God’s children, lest satan should have an advantage over us. So now we are not ignorant of his devices. (2 Corinthians 2:11)

Walk in your authority given to you through Jesus Christ. You have been given all power over the enemy's kingdom, so act like it. Speak like it. Pray like it. Walk like it. Don't apologize for your authority. Don't explain away your boldness or holiness in Him. The righteous are bold as a lion, and lions don't need permission to roar. So rise up children of God, holy warrior of the Kingdom of God. Rise up with wisdom. Rise up with discernment. Rise with faith and fire in your mouth. You were never meant to live under siege. You were born to take your dominion and authority to further the Kingdom of God. You are not defeated, but are an overcomer. You are more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ. From this day, the ground under your feet belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ. (Joshua 1:3) Every altar is dismantled. Every curse is broken. Every monitoring eye goes blind and every assignment of darkness returns to the sender through the power of Jesus Christ. All you have to do is believe….only believe in Him…Jesus Christ… Yeshua Ha’ Mashaiach who has done everything for you so you could be all this and more through Him. Rise up children of God. Rise up and prepare yourself because what's coming next is the sound of victory. What's coming next is the shift in your atmosphere. Your faith has spoken. The Word of God has been released and the spirit of the Lord God is moving.

Stay alert. Stay faithful, stay in the Word of God and stay in prayer.

Another prayer for a salt covenant example:

Father God, I come boldly before your throne through the Blood of the Lamb Jesus Christ Your Son that grants me access and for the revelation that you have given me concerning other ways to spiritually fight the enemy. I lift this salt before you, not as superstition, but as a sign, a prophetic weapon consecrated for spiritual warfare. Just as You called Your covenant people to season sacrifices with salt, I now set apart this salt by faith. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I declare it holy and declare it weaponized. I declare it surrendered for Your holy purposes. Let it carry the authority of Your Word, the sanctifying power of Your Holy Ghost Spirit, and the power and weight of Heaven within and behind it.

Now by the authority placed within me through the Name above all names Jesus Christ, I lift this salt and speak a divine charge over it. Every grain of this salt shall carry the fire of the Lord God who is a consuming fire. Let every grain shall be anointed with the power of Jesus Christ’s Name to break curses, dissolve demonic attachments, and purge the environment of every unclean spirit when used in faith. Let this salt become a line of demarcation that hell cannot cross. Let it become a purifying agent that sanctifies my home, my mind, my sleep, my children, my bloodline, and my destiny. In the Name of Jesus Christ, I bind every witchcraft attack that has been sent against my life. I decree that no incantation, no spell, no monitoring eye, no altar of darkness, no word curse, and no demonic projection shall prosper against me. I reverse every assignment now by fire and the Name of Jesus Christ. As I sprinkle this salt across my home, at the doors, the windows, the mirrors, the corners, the closets, the gate posts, the beds and such like, I decree this entire dwelling is sealed under the authority of Heaven in Jesus Christ’s Name.

I speak to every lingering spirit, your time is up. I break your hold, I bind you and I command you to flee in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Every evil covenant connected to this ground is now destroyed. Every portal opened by sin, by witchcraft, or by ancestral rituals, by agreements and such like known or unknown to me is now closed by the Blood of Jesus Christ and fire of God. I command all residue of darkness to be uprooted and burned by holy fire. Let every cursed object lose its power. Let every demonic signature and mark be erased. Let every marine spirit retreat. Let every altar be shattered. Let every demonic voice be silenced in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Now, Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ I invite You to take full possession of this space. Let Heaven’s angels of war patrol every threshold, every access or entry point. Let Your consuming fire burn in every room. Let the sound of worship replace the sound of warfare. Let the oil of peace flood every corner.

I decree that this home is now a sanctuary for Father God, Jesus Christ and the sweet Holy Ghost Spirit. No nightmares, no intrusions, no whispers in the night, no spiritual heaviness, no unexplainable tension, no fear, no anxiety, no oppression, or such like can abide here because this atmosphere is charged with the glory of the Lord God Almighty. This is holy ground. I now declare over my life, I'm covered, I'm protected, I'm victorious. I cancel every cycle of spiritual harassment and every generational curse in Jesus Christ’s Name in all Father God’s knowledge and existence.

Now I speak to every unclean spirit in hiding, Luke 8:17…you are uncovered. I remove your legal rights, I bind you, I banish you and I declare that your influence is over in Jesus Christ’s Name. Let every familiar spirit lose its voice. Let every spiritual parasite be disconnected. I renounce all contact with darkness, whether known or unknown, inherited or introduced through dreams, relationships, or objects. I stand under the blood covenant of my King Jesus Christ and declare, I am not a victim. I am not a target. I am a threat to the kingdom of darkness and from this day forward, no weapon formed against me shall prosper.

I speak over this salt. Wherever it touches, the enemy shall retreat. Wherever it falls, the Spirit of God shall reign. Wherever it is sprinkled, holy angelic forces shall surround. This is not mere salt. It is now sanctified particles in my hands, and upon the ground making it holy. I command divine order, holy alignment, and prophetic protection to enter this atmosphere now. Let confusion strike every demonic camp sent against me. Let blindness hit every monitoring agent. Let holy chaos scatter every evil plan. Let Heaven's gavel render judgment against every witchcraft operation linked to my name, family’s, the ministry and such like in Heaven’s Court in Jesus Christ’s Name.

In the mighty Name of the King of kings, Jesus Christ I send every arrow of witchcraft back to the sender. I break the spells, I block the curses, I close the doors and access points, I bind the strong man, I take my power back I have in Jesus Christ. I reclaim my joy. I take possession of my home, my health, my purpose, my finances, and my time. I decree, this house belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ. My life is a testimony. My space is protected. My destiny is preserved. I thank You, Lord, for the power you've given me. Thank You for the wisdom to fight back. Thank You for holy discernment and for sanctifying what is simple and making it spiritual. Thank You for showing me that even salt, something so small, can become a kingdom weapon in the hand of the righteous. I receive the fullness of Your protection, Your favor, and Your rest from this day forward. Let Your Kingdom come and let Your will be done in my home, in my family, and in my atmosphere as it is in Heaven Father God. I seal this prayer in fire and in truth in the Name of Jesus Christ. So let it be done.

The Blood of Jesus Christ in Spiritual Warfare 9-16-25

Vicki Goforth Parnell

There are many things that the kingdom of darkness uses to intimidate God's people, but there

is one thing that witches, sorcerers, demonic powers, fallen angels and every agent of hell cannot stand. That is the blood of Jesus Christ. It is the divine protection and even a weapon of God Himself placed in the hands of His children. It is eternal, indestructible, infallible  and unchallengeable.

The enemy like witches and such like may use charms, spells, familiar spirits and incantations. They may invoke the names of their idols, the demons and fallen ones and whisper enchantments in the night, but when the Blood of Jesus Christ is invoked, everything else must bow. So it is with His Name.

Do you know why the enemy fear the Blood of Jesus Christ? Because His Blood is a legal weapon in the spirit. The Blood of Jesus Christ carries authority in the Courts of Heaven and the spirit realm. Every battle that is fought between God's kingdom of light and Lucifer's kingdom of darkness is not just physical or spiritual, but it is legal.

The devil…satan… the accuser of the brethren…the brethren meaning the children of God in Revelation 12:9-10 brings accusations that are brought before God to condemn, to destroy, to claim lives. But the blood of Jesus Chrst applied to His child’s life is the evidence that cancels every accusation. When His Blood speaks for them, every curse is silenced. When the Blood testifies, every witchcraft and kingdom of darkness case is dismissed.

In the Old Testament, when Israel was in Egypt, God instructed the Israelites to take the blood of a lamb and put it on the doorposts in Exodus 12:7. He said, “When I see the blood, I will pass

over you,” in Exodus 12:13. That was not a religious act, it was an act of faith and trust administered in spiritual warfare. The destroyer was released over the land, but the lamb’s blood became the shield. It became the protective barrier for the children of Israel. That was only the blood of a lamb. How much more powerful is the Blood of the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world?

The kingdom of darkness with its human against and witches fear the Blood of Jesus Christ because His Blood represents our covenant of grace between God and man. A covenant which is stronger than a contract, deeper than a promise, greater than an agreement. A covenant means a life for life, and blood for blood. When Jesus Christ shed His Blood, He signed an eternal

covenant that cannot be broken by anything or anyone. It’s all-powerful like His Name, like every part of Jesus Christ was and still is.

Witches, human agents and such like understand covenants because they make blood covenants with demons. But when they see the Blood of Jesus Christ, they know they are facing a covenant they cannot challenge. That is why they tremble when you plead or invoke the Blood of Jesus Christ over your life, your family and circumstances. They tremble and flee when they see the Lamb’s Blood applied over your dwelling that they cannot pass through because it’s been applied  in holy remembrance of the Lord Jesus Christ’s death through the taking of communion.

Demons and devils are not afraid of your shouting, they are not afraid of your emotions. They are not afraid of your church attendance. But they are terrified of the blood, because the blood of Jesus Christ is a reminder of their defeat. The cross was not a religious event, it was a battlefield. On that cross, Jesus Christ disarmed principalities and powers, making a public show of them as Colossians 2:15 tells us plainly in the Word of God. The Blood of Jesus Christ became the seal of victory. Every drop declared, “It is finished, victory has been won and given to His children.” The cross and the shed Blood of Jesus Christ is the point and constant reminder where the kingdom of darkness was forever defeated by Jesus Christ.

The kingdom of darkness, lucifer and witches know that once you understand this, their power is broken. Their strongholds are removed. It protects, meaning the Blood forms a hedge around your life, your family, and your home. Such as the blood in our human bodies is made to protect us in different ways. The greatest tragedy in our warfare is not that the enemy and their witches are powerful. The tragedy is that many believers are ignorant and under a veil of misconception and deception. Jesus Christ’s Blood is one of the greatest weapons a child of God has, but if you don't use it, it cannot work for you.

Many Christians are still running from witchcraft attacks that come from nightmares, from curses, from voices in the night. They cry and complain, yet the Blood has been made available to all His children. Revelation 12:11 says, “ And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”

When you're in a spiritual battle, a battlefield, you do not beg darkness and the kingdom of darkness’ forces of evil to leave, you enforce the victory of the Blood through the Name and authority in Jesus Christ. James 4;7 says, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” Resisting means to put up a fight, not stay complacent and unmoving. It’s a war, a battlefield we’re in.

What does the Blood of Jesus Christ do? Many things but here are 3. The Blood redeems, it cleanses, and it protects. Redemption means the Blood paid the price for your freedom. Cleanses means the Blood washes away every legal ground the enemy could use against you. And again, it’s the hedge of protection around your family, home, yourself and such like.

In the kingdom of darkness witches and such like fear the Blood because once it covers you, their arrows cannot penetrate, their curses cannot land, their projections cannot manifest. Every witch knows the power of a sacrifice. This is why they slaughter animals, spill blood, and make offerings in the night, but these are just  counterfeits of the real sacrifice. The Blood of Jesus Christ is the ultimate sacrifice. We know this from Hebrews 9:26-28;10:12; 14; Ephesians 5:12; & Mark 10:45 to name a few verses. Once and for all, His Blood was offered on the altar of Heaven. No other sacrifice can compete with it. Nor can any other redeem us. Witches know that the moment you understand the true power of Jesus Christ’ Blood and stand under it, their sacrifices are rendered powerless.

Spiritual warfare is incomplete without applying the Blood of Jesus Christ to every aspect. It is after all Jesus Christ Himself and we fight our battles through Him by His Name given to us.

It’s a fact that many believers are ignorant in many ways how the enemy operates or how to war spiritually through Jesus Christ. The church has failed to teach how to do so.

This is why prayer without including the Blood of Jesus Christ can be incomplete. Cover yourself in His when fasting, praying, preaching, teaching whatever you are doing. Pleading the Blood of Jesus Christ is making a request for its covering and protection. Apply the Blood of Jesus Christ and decree it as Job 22:28 says over your children, your sleep, your home, your possessions, everything that relates to you directly, indirectly or randomly in all Father God’s knowledge and understanding. Wherever the holy Blood is applied, the enemy…witches and such like cannot operate.

How powerful does the Blood speak? The book of Hebrews says the Blood of Jesus Christ speaks better things than the blood of Abel. Abel's blood cried for vengeance, but our Savior’s Blood cries for mercy, for protection and for deliverance. Witches, sorcerers, and such like hear voices in the spirit, but when you release the Blood, they hear a voice louder than every witchcraft ritual spoken or any curse or enchantment. They hear a decree that cannot be overridden. The Blood of Jesus Christ is not just written words in our Holy Bible, it’s sacred, holy, powerful and invincible. It’s the Blood of God that was placed in the flesh of a man to redeem a whole world.

When you stand under the Blood of Jesus Christ, every curse is broken. When you declare His Blood in Jesus Christ’s Name, every hidden altar is destroyed. When you trust in its power, every demonic attack loses its power. This is something we must never forget. There’s power in His Blood for victory and not just redemption and the power found in His Name alone.

The enemy, especially witches, fear the Blood of Jesus Christ because through His Blood, their authority is canceled, their curses are neutralized, their covenants are broken, their weapons are destroyed. Do not fear the enemy. Jesus Christ has already defeated them. Stand in the power of His might, His Name, His Blood and His authority, the authority of Jesus Christ and let them fear you. Do not run from them. Let them flee from you, from Jesus Christ living inside of you. The Blood is your guarantee of victory because the Word says we are made overcomers by it and the word of our testimony in Revelation 12:11. The Word of God cannot be broken. (John 10:35)

The Blood is your shield, your weapon, your covering. Do not tremble when the enemy attacks. Stand boldly and declare, by the blood of Jesus Christ and in His Name, I shall overcome. By the Blood of Jesus Christ, I am protected, my family is protected. By the blood of Jesus Christ I decree every witchcraft power is broken. (Job 22:28; Luke 10:19) Do this in unwavering faith. Then watch how the forces of darkness scatter, because the kingdom of darkness fears nothing more than the Blood of Jesus Christ. The most powerful weapon against darkness, because it’s the moment Jesus Christ shed His blood and died for us that complete and utter victory became ours.

One of the greatest strategies of the enemy is to keep you ignorant of the power of the Blood of Jesus Christ and what it has done for us. He knows if you ever discover the full power of His Blood, you will walk in a level, a dimension of authority that witches and human agents even some demons cannot challenge. That's why the devil distracts believers with rituals, ceremonies, and empty religion trying to cause fear, discouragement, deception, uses trickery, manipulation and other such like. The kingdom of darkness understands the significance of blood. They know blood is life. The Bible says the life of all flesh is in its blood. That means whenever blood is shed, life is exchanged. Witches and such like will shed blood in sacrifices, because they understand that blood attracts spirits. But the Blood of Jesus Christ does more. It not only attracts Heaven, it commands Heaven to respond. It speaks directly to the throne of God. When witches shed blood, demons respond, but when you pray, you speak, you invoke the Blood of Jesus Christ, holy angels respond. Heaven moves, the throne is engaged, the kingdom of God will manifest on your behalf. That's why witches, nephilim and human agents cannot stand the Blood of Jesus Christ. Demons and fallen angels can’t stand the Blood of Jesus Christ. It is a constant reminder of their eternal defeat. In Revelation, the saints overcame the enemy by two things, by the Blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. Notice, it didn’t say, by their fasting, though fasting is important. Or through their tears, though tears may flow. It is said by the Blood and by the word in Revelation 12:11.

The Blood of Jesus Christ is our foundation of victory. The word of testimony is our declaration of that victory. That is spiritual warfare. We don't beg the devil to leave. We enforce what has already been finished for us in Jesus Christ..

The Battlefield is the Mind. Who Are You Listening To? 3-9-26

Vicki Goforth Parnell

For the glory of Father God in Heaven and my brothers & sisters in Jesus Christ.

For those of you who have been battling spiritually with the devil whispering in your ears. speaking lies and truth with deception, I ask you this. Why? Why let him? Why allow the kingdom of darkness with their demons and devils, their woohoo wahoo witchcraft garage to take a hold on your life? Why listen to their stinky thinking?

Do you not realize that when you allow yourself to listen to the enemy you have also allowed yourself to become a willing participant to the conversation they just started with you? What this means in the spiritual laws for this earth created in Heaven is you have formed an agreement with the kingdom of darkness, which gives them a legal right to continue to attack you.

I ask again why? When you have been given all power over lu lu…lucifer and the whole stinking kingdom of darkness. Every battle begins in the mind. This is whereas good soldiers, warriors in the Lord Jesus Christ we are told to tear down all strongholds. We are told to cast down all vain imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself…lifts itself up against the knowledge of God. Understand this, part of the knowledge of God given His children is the Word of God. So cast down everything that is contrary to the Holy, Mighty Word of God. Think of what’s pure and lovely and let this mind of Christ be in you.

Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Ephesians 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

1 Corinthians 2: 16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

How do you defeat the enemy in this battle field? How do you do this?

  1. Repent and break any agreements with the kingdom of darkness you have made knowingly or unknowingly in the powerful Name of Jesus Christ.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Proverbs 26:2 As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.

  1. Don’t listen, even when the enemy is persistent. Keep rebuking and resisting Him. If you have bound the enemy and it appears he is still there, then this means you either have an agreement with him and/or the enemy has sent more than one demon to attack you with the same thoughts. Lu lu always sends them out in groups of 2 or more. An agreement or such like is a stronghold being built or has already been built in your life.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Ephesians 4:27  Neither give place to the devil.

  1. Begin tearing down the strongholds being formed or that have been formed against you already. Take every thought captive if it’s from the enemy and bind it. Bind any thoughts, which are how the attacks are being made in your mind through demons sent out by witchcraft and such like. Understand… These attacks can also include manipulations of sound smell and such like to trigger the thoughts. After binding the demons, cancel any assignments and cut any cords that may hold them to the attack such as charms and such like then cast them into the abyss in everlasting chains. I usually then ask for them to be held there until the time they are thrown into the lake of fire and with grievous torments and heavy burdens but according to Father God’s perfect will. All done in the infallible, All-powerful Name of Jesus Christ, Yeshua Ha’ Mashiach.

Philippians 2:9-11

9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Matthew 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Psalms 107:14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5

4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Jude 6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

  1. Next, bind whatever evil spirit or spirits that are behind the attacks just sent out so that they cannot send out such like attacks again of this type of attack directly, indirectly or randomly in all Father God's knowledge and His existence. In addition, take the attacks (thoughts, smells and such like…all things used in the attack and bind them to the abyss too. Then bind them and lock them away forever in the abyss with the kingdom keys of Jesus Christ, of Heaven. How are we able to do this? Because Jesus Christ has all power and has given this power through His Name, Blood and His Holy Word to us so that we through Him have all power over the kingdom of darkness. This is the spiritual law inside this created firmament because God our Creator is a spirit. So spiritual law is always before and above anything inside the created firmament.

Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Matthew 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Remember to cover yourself before entering into any form of spiritual warfare. Pray, decree and ask in Jesus Christ’s Name. Don’t forget to pray that there will not be allowed any retaliation from the kingdom of darkness in any way known to Father God and in all His existence because who the Son set free is free indeed. This lines up with the Holy Powerful Word of God. Then bind the kingdom of darkness from doing so but according to Father God’s perfect will on earth as it is in Heaven.

Matthew 6:10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

A true believer of Jesus Christ who calls Him the Lord of their life needs to walk in faith without doubting, and in the reassurance of the power of the Word of God. When you do, then know that all of Heaven will pay attention and be on standby and all the devils and demons will tremble at the power of your God that lives inside you (James 2:19) when you operate fully in the authority of Jesus Christ, Yeshua Ha’ Mashiach’s Name.  Father God in Heaven shall surely be honorbound to back up what you do, when you utilize it in faith the power of the truth of His Word, because He is truth. His Word cannot be broken and He is truth. No lies or deception can ever be found in Him because….He is holy, so holy!

Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

James 1:5-8

5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
